Before I answer that question, let me take a minute to introduce myself.
Hello reader! I am Tristen, also known as: TheGoblinPhantom, WriterDragon, and Bringer of Doom (wait… you didn’t need to know that one… oops). hehe…
Right…. well, on the point. I mean, that’s what you want right? Why am I here? What does this mean? Who ate my snicker doodles? Is that Big Red can walking around my room or am I just hallucinating again?
Anyway, let’s get one thing straight. I’m not here to educate you about writing. There are tons of blogs out there that do that, and none of them educate you in the ‘right’ way to write because there is no ‘right’ way to write. Each writer has his or her own way to write, but I’ll save that for another post.
To be honest, I’m simply here to rant about things. Anything I can think of. Movies, family, people who don’t wear deodorant, my pet dragon eating my other pets. You get the point… right?
So, why is the blog called ‘WriterDragon’ if you’re not going to blog about writing?
Well, that’s the thing. I am going to blog about writing. Writing is one of the biggest parts of my life, and it has been for over 10 years. I have experience with writing and with procrastinating (which is what I’m doing now by making this blog). Since writing is such a large part of my life, it stands to reason that I will have my fair share of rants about writing. Trust me, I do… there are a lot of things that I want to share with the world about my experiences with writing, and there are a lot of things that I don’t want to share. Either way, I will be blogging about writing, BUT I won’t be blogging only about writing.
Now, with that said, I suppose I should answer the title question.
Am I blogger now?
Well, no. No I am not. Having a blog and writing one blog post, doesn’t make me a blogger. What will make me a blogger is updating this blog often and with new content. A task that may or may not happen on a daily or even weekly basis.
The three commandments of my blog: (Can and probably will be broken)
I swear as a blogger to update my blog on a weekly basis at the least.
I swear as a blogger that the content of my blog will be new.
I swear as a blogger that the content of my blog will be (mostly) grammatically correct. (I’m not perfect, so please don’t hound me if I don’t hold to this one.)
